Some more investor responses.

Dear Liam

Although my money is a serious loss I heartily support you and your efforts and am sorry some people are bitter enough to try and ruin you and your innocent colleagues  when you have been upfront and offered to try and make good.    Not only is this stupid woman shooting herself in the foot but spoiling things for the majority of the  investors who support you, so feel free to post this on your blog with my request that she stop her very nasty campaign.

Regards

Liam

I’ve not replied before now. I’ve not felt able to but here is my response and you are welcome to add it to the others on your blog –

I am devastated by this news. Whilst it came as a shock, hands up, honestly, it wasn’t a surprise. It was only ever going to take one or two people to knock down the house of cards and while most people are reasonable and sensible, unfortunately there’s always going to be someone who takes a more belligerent view.

I am losing a hell of a lot more money here than most of the other investors and I am furious that there are a couple of people out there who stand to lose a fraction of that but are ruining everyone else’s chances of ever getting their money back. How selfish. And what do they think they will gain from this? And have they even considered the effect of their actions on the rest of the investors?

I’ll be honest here and say that I wish I’d never invested the money. If I hadn’t, I’d have paid off my mortgage now and had money in the bank towards my retirement. I was stupid and actually I was greedy. But I was in a very strange place at the time and for whatever reason I chose to do it. And if something looks too good to be true, it probably is. People need to accept that they chose to do this and take their share of the responsibility.

I think that you & Davey were unrealistic / wildly optimistic about what you could achieve, and maybe naive about the people you dealt with along the way, and you made a lot of mistakes and been rather reckless with investment money trying to get there and you didn’t always level with people about that. But no-one can accuse you of sitting on your hands and not doing anything.

If you’d intended to run off with the money, you would have done that and disappeared. You certainly wouldn’t have spent it all as that would have been a waste of a good scam.

I just hope that some kind of clear path can be trodden out of this mess and that one day, you can both honour your promise to us all and pay us back.

I am devastated at the thought of losing a lot of money that I wish I’d never invested but you must also be devastated at the prospect of your efforts coming to nothing.
